Hello! I'm Chibi Ann.

I am an artist by trade. I specialize in a wide range of art. I’ve done silhouette portraits, pet portraits, anime art, cosplay, and various 3D arts.
I was born in Jasper, Alabama but I live in the North Georgia mountains with my husband, two kids, four cats, and flock of chickens.
I’ve been cosplaying since I was 10 years old (unless you count the Kigurumi Style Halloween costume my mom made me at age 6) and I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil.

What got you into art?

Honestly? I can thank my sister for my true passion into art. My sister used to draw anime styled art in the 90s and I wanted to be just like her. I was very passionate about original characters and stories. As I grew up, my mom supported me with extra curricular art classes and supplies.
I found myself in many different art clubs and events through my years in elementary school. I was homeschooled through middle school but received a drawing tablet as a gift. I still have that tiny blue pad and I created plenty of art. I spent a lot of my days lurking around Deviantart and making lots of friends and mentors.
Once I hit highschool I went back to public school. I had two peers I considered mentors there, as they made amazing pieces of art and gave me tips and recommendations for art equipment.
By the end of highschool I had taken several basic art classes, AP Art History, and AP Studio Art. I basically took everything there was to offer. At the time I was one of two students at that high school who passed the AP Studio Art exam with my portfolio.
I never stopped creating, but I had kids and slowed down a lot. I’ve been constantly working throughout the years to improve on myself.
When the Covid-19 pandemic hit in 2020 I took that opportunity to upgrade my equipment. I went from working with traditional art to getting an amazing graphic screen tablet. My husband got me Clip Studio Paint and I’ve been diligently working to learn and adapt my art to the digital medium.

An artist by many names.

Zombiefox Studio is my main project. It is where I publish my cosplays, interact with convention friends, and post all my artwork. I work through Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, ETC under the Zombiefox Handle.
Lucky Cat is the auxiliary project I run through a shop in Downtown Blue Ridge, GA. Because of the nature of my town and the clientele I softened up my wild undead critter image to a more approachable Japanese Bobtail. This is in honor to the real life maneki neko I had in highschool. Through Lucky Cat I sew aromatherapy ricebags, sell decals and jewelry, make hand creams, and create greeting cards.
I live in a very art centric tourist destination and hope to set myself up at art shows and farmers markets in the area with the creations I make under my Lucky Cat project.
